Main Line Counseling Partners is proud to be a teaching institution, and we are delighted to introduce our 2023-2024 practicum student, Mr. Brian Matlaga, who comes to us with five years of experience. 

Brian helps his clients reach their goals with an insight-driven approach and creates a safe comfortable space with non-judgmental listening and empathy., 

He believes in the extraordinary power of the therapeutic relationship.  We gain the power to choose differently by increasing awareness of our options and core values. He offers a team approach to problem-solving and decision-making and helps clients understand how the past may affect current situations. 

His areas of clinical interest include couples, families, substance use, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities. He offers expertise in OCD and personality concerns.

Experience & Training

Brian earned his Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University, after which time he transitioned to Chestnut Hill College’s Doctor of Psychology Program.  He is a current fourth-year student in the program and is working at Main Line Counseling Partners under the supervision of Dr. Meghan Prato.
