I’m Laura Silverstein, LCSW, a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist and founder of Main Line Counseling Partners in Bryn Mawr, PA, right outside of Philadelphia. I help couples feel happier one conversation at a time by teaching practical communication skills that make hard talks safer, calmer, and more productive. Training and background

Laura earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Skidmore College and volunteered at a social service agency in Fiji after graduation. She received her Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut and has been licensed in Pennsylvania since 1998.

She completed a post-graduate externship at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Training Center, founded by Dr. Salvador Minuchin, and later worked as a research clinician for for  Drs. John and Julie Gottman, internationally recognized for their ability to predict relationship outcomes with 90% accuracy.

Laura completed the highest level of clinical training at The Gottman Institute, including the certification practicum with peer-reviewed video review, and is also a Certified Gottman Method Trainer.
