 History

Michael and Laura Silverstein, Owners Main Line Counseling Partners

Michael and Laura Silverstein met in 1995.   Michael was in the process of defending his dissertation earning his PhD. In Clinical Psychology, and Laura had just returned from doing service work in the Fiji Islands for a year and was completing her Master of Social Work.  Their professional partnership has always been grounded on a marriage between intuition and science, critical thinking and optimism, and a commitment to learning from the masters.

Main Line Counseling Partners launched in 2014 when Michael and Laura combined their private practices and hired a small team of colleagues with similar passion and commitment to research-based methods and training.   They have always been committed to making sure their clients get the right kind of help for each individual’s particular struggle.  Therapists are up to date with the latest recommended treatment models and guide clients in reaching their goals.  Main Line Counseling clinicians are warm, approachable and easy to talk to.
