Main Line Counseling Partners is proud to have invited our 2023-2024 practicum student, Brian Matlaga, into a place of permanent team membership!
Brian helps his clients reach their goals with an insight-driven approach and creates a safe comfortable space with non-judgmental listening and empathy.,
He believes in the extraordinary power of the therapeutic relationship. We gain the power to choose differently by increasing awareness of our options and core values. He offers a team approach to problem-solving and decision-making and helps clients understand how the past may affect current situations.
His areas of clinical interest include couples, families, substance use, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities. He offers expertise in OCD and personality concerns.
Experience & Training
Brian earned his Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University, after which time he transitioned to Chestnut Hill College’s Doctor of Psychology Program. He is a current fifth-year student in the program and is working at Main Line Counseling Partners under the supervision of Dr. Meghan Prato.
Brian comes to our practice with over five years of experience in the field, and training within the practice during his practicum placement here. He offers a wealth of knowledge in the following areas:
