Our specialists are trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Our office is located at 1084 East Lancaster Ave, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, conveniently located for clients across the Main Line and Greater Philadelphia suburbs, and a short distance from Villanova University, Bryn Mawr and Haverford College.
We also offer secure online sessions for clients anywhere within the state of Pennsylvania.
No. We offer sliding scale reduced rates on a case per case basis, which can be discussed directly with your clinician.

Most individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes long, and most couples therapy sessions are 80 minutes long. Psychological testing appointments may vary depending on the assessments and age of the client.
You may discuss your specific scheduling concerns or preferences with our intake coordinator HERE so that you can be matched with a clinician who has availability.
Getting started is simple. You can contact us through our website or call our office to schedule a free phone consultation. Our intake coordinator will answer your questions and connect you with the right therapist for your needs. At that point you’ll have a free 15 minute consultation with your potential therapist to decide whether that practioner is a good fit.
Yes! We offer secure telehealth sessions that make therapy more accessible for busy professionals, parents, and couples. Virtual sessions provide the same level of care as in-person appointments—just with added flexibility and comfort.
We are a small group practice, which offers a very different experience from either an independent practitioner, or a national company. You have the choice of whether or not prefer to meet in person, or on-line, and you have the comfort of knowing that Main Line Counseling Partners hires only, highly trained specialists who are passionate about their work, and the importance of collaboration. Our clinicians are required to attend consultation meetings and advanced training to insure the highest level of care.
Your first session is all about getting to know you and your goals. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you’d like to work on, and create a personalized plan that fits your needs. It’s a relaxed, judgment-free space to start exploring what’s possible.
Your therapist will ask you questions to understand what you need and what you are looking for. All the therapists at Main Line Counseling Partners are trained to help you feel relaxed and comfortable while completing your initial assessment session.
Yes. Our child specialists offer both family therapy and we have a child psychologist on staff who offers psychological testing ADHD testing, and IQ testing.
We focus on helping young people understand emotions, manage behavior, and build confidence in a caring, supportive environment. We treat ADHD, childhood depression, anxiety and other challenges for kids and teens in the community
Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and trust. As you make progress, sessions may become less frequent. We’ll work together to find a schedule that feels right for you.
Treatment can be as brief as 6-8 sessions, or last for many years, depending on the severity of the issues, the type of therapy you are seeking, and your specific treatment plan. Once you start therapy, you are encouraged to discuss this question during the treatment planning phase of the work.
We are out-of-network providers, which means we don’t bill insurance directly. However, we’ll provide a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. For more details, visit our Fees & Insurance page.
It is not uncommon for one person to be ready to start couples therapy before their partner. It is recommended that you start with individual therapy with a relationship specialist so you can learn skills and strategies that you can apply on your own.
