Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic style is warm, interactive, and tailored to your needs. My goal is to provide a safe space to be exactly who you are, and meet you with acceptance and empathy.

In my practice, I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 2 Trained), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy. I also draw on Positive Psychology and the Jungian Approach. I work with couples, adults, young adults, and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting issues, addictions, and trauma. I also have experience working with children and families to understand and heal the family system through communication and appropriate emotional expression. I have worked as a substance use counselor in Philadelphia as well as a mobile crisis counselor in Delaware County.

Together, we will identify the areas you wish to improve, and make a plan to address them. I will help you explore your thoughts and feelings in order to improve your relationships and reach your goals. Through this approach, I will help you see how change becomes possible.

I earned my Master’s degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in Counseling and Clinical Health Psychology and a Ph.D. at University of California Riverside in Social and Political Psychology. I was born and raised in Luzerne County Pennsylvania.

It takes a lot of bravery to show up and do the work in therapy. You have a lot to be proud of by beginning this journey. I look forward to guiding you to live the life you want to live and making the changes you want to see.
