Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic style is warm, interactive, and tailored to your needs. My goal is to provide a safe space to be exactly who you are, and meet you with acceptance and empathy. I will use the approach that fits your needs.

In my practice, I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Gottman Method Couples Theapy (Level 2 Trained), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Eco-systemic Structural Family Therapy. I also draw on Positive Psychology and the Jungian Approach. I work with couples, adults, young adults, and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting issues, addictions, and trauma. I also have experience working with families to understand and heal the family system through communication and appropriate emotional expression.

Together, we will identify the areas you wish to improve, and make a plan to address them. In will help you explore your thoughts and feelings in order to improve your relationships and reach your goals. Through this approach, I will help you see how change becomes possible.

I earned my Master’s degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in Counseling and Clinical Health Psychology. I am currently a PhD Candidate at University of California Riverside in Social and Political Psychology. I was born and raised in Luzerne County Pennsylvania and have worked as a substance use outpatient counselor in Philadelphia. I specialize in couples therapy and family therapy and have experience in mobile crisis.

It takes a lot of bravery to show up and do the work in therapy. You have a lot to be proud of by beginning this journey. I look forward to guiding you to live the life you want to live and making the changes you want to see.
